This WRP tract of 603 +/- acres will provide opportunity to hunt some of the best bucks in the state as well as offer duck hunting in shallow water areas
and flooded sloughs. It is part of a well-managed 1593 ac hunting tract that adjoins the 11,000+ ac Buckhorn WMA. It is in the same neighborhood with
the 80,000+ ac Tensas Refuge and the 19,000+ ac Biglake WMA. This tract is the yellow parcel shown on the maps of the entire 1593 acre tract.
The tract is enrolled in WRP and has approx. 424 ac of planted hardwoods and shallow water areas. The remaining acres are along a wooded slough on the
west side and the 1.5+/- ac camp site that is included. The hardwoods planted in 2007 have resulted in a great stand of trees and thick understory
providing exceptional habitat for deer. There are 7 food plot areas with deer stands in most of them. The south boundary of the tract is the rest of
the 1593 ac well-managed hunting tract that is also for sale by RecLand.
There is a large pit blind in each of the 3 shallow water areas as well as 4 1-man metal pits placed along one of the wooded sloughs. Water control structures
are well-placed to manage flooding and an electric well is available. The combined flooded area encompasses well over 100 acres providing a large area
to hold ducks.
The access is excellent and a good system of interior roads can get you to every part of this tract.
Additional timbered acres adjoining on the south are available if you want a bigger place.
Approx. 177 acres of mature bottomland hardwood also part of this tract and is in WRP.
CHOOSE YOUR CAMP…There are 5 camp site locations available to choose from with electricity and water. 3 of the sites have no buildings and a 4th
has a small metal building, septic system and rock pad. These 4 sites are approx. 1.5 acres. The 5th site is approx. 2 acres and already has a nice
2500 square foot furnished camp built in 2002 with a large metal shed. It can be purchased with this tract at an additional cost. All camp site locations
will also have an undivided ownership in the 5 acre stocked trophy bass lake with electric well at the camp site.
The main access to the tract is from a gated rock road at Hwy 4.
