For sale is 35 acres of land west of Darnell on Wade Road.  The tract features CREP income and good deer hunting.  There is a good high ridge that could possibly be used for a home or camp site by buying an acre or two out of the CREP program. 31.4 acres were enrolled in the CREP program in 2006 going through 2021.  The program pays $83.36 per acre or $2618 per year.  The seven remaining payments will equal over $18,000 to the new owner!  Hardwood trees were planted on the acreage enrolled and are growing nicely. They will one day make plenty of mast for wildlife and eventually harvestable hardwood timber.  In addition, several acres of large hardwoods are growing along a slough that goes across the tract, making some good bow stand sites.  This area is not in a program.  

Deer hunting is good in this area, and some surrounding CRP offers backup habitat for deer.  Some deer have been taken off this property every year.
