The habitat is mostly comprised of 13-14 year old WRP with some areas of larger timber along the river and oxbow. This tract is a natural travel corridor between the mature hardwood timber lying to the north and east of it and the large WRP tract to the west. It is not uncommon for the owner to see up to twenty deer per hunt. This property also offers small game hunting and fishing in the oxbow lake and river.
 
There is legal access to the property but there is no designated campsite set aside in the WRP but there is an opportunity to lease a campsite from the neighbor that owns a strip of land between the tract and the highway. The neighbor has been willing to take the cost of setting the electricity and water up off of the lease.
