This property is comprised of three tracts, an 80-acre tract near the headquarters of the WMA, and two 40-acre tracts to the east of the main WMA. The two 40 ac tracts join an 80 acre “resting area†where no hunting is allowed.

 

There is a nice, wooded drain with large hardwoods running across the 80 ac parcel that could be great for bow stand set-ups.

 
This area is known for large deer. The WMA consists of 6,919 acres with limited gun hunting. This gives the property plenty of back up habitat. Nearby farm fields are usually planted in soybeans and corn providing excellent food sources to grow big bucks. Owners have killed several very nice bucks off this property, and practice trophy management.
 
All three tracts were enrolled in the CREP program in 2006 and planted in bottomland hardwood trees. The annual payment is $13,729 and will continue through 2021. The two 40 acre tracts have old house places on them. It is possible that an acre could be bought out of CRP and used for a camp site. Utilities are available along Schrock Road.
 
Owner would prefer to sell all 3 tracts at once and not break them up.
